Productivity Ninja — Role Description
About Think Productive
Think Productive is one of the world’s leading training companies, inspiring forward-thinking organizations to do their best work. Since 2009, when we were founded by best-selling author Graham Allcott (of How to Be a Productivity Ninja and the Beyond Busy podcast), our practical, human, and straight-to-the-point workshops have been inspiring and equipping people and organizations across the globe to transform work for the better.
Think Productive North America holds the exclusive licence to bring this work to clients across Canada and the United States.
Our vision
A world where work is what we love to do, not just what we have to do.
Our mission
Inspiring and equipping people and organizations to transform work, for the better.
Our values
- Psychology before technology
- Human, not superhero
- We walk our talk
- Trust and kindness are our rocketfuel
- We are an integrity-first company
Our moral code in how we do business is respect, trust, openness, quality, and professionalism. We believe strongly in an abundance mentality.
The Productivity Ninja model
Our Productivity Ninjas (that is what we call our trainers) deliver workshops, practical coaching, and consultancy based on the Think Productive suite of products. We are growing our team in both Canada and the United States, and we are looking for one or two outstanding facilitators with a genuine passion for productivity and wellbeing to deliver our training. These are independent roles, based in either Canada or the United States.
In addition to delivering our workshops, Productivity Ninjas are welcome to be involved in business development for Think Productive. This is not an expectation, but sales commissions are payable on any work you bring in. If you have an extensive network and would enjoy helping to build the Think Productive brand in North America, there is real room here to build and grow a book of business of your own, alongside the work we bring you.
Productivity Ninjas can also have creative input into our work, contributing ideas and enthusiasm to an exciting community of expert practice, as we constantly seek to improve the quality of our workshops and, in turn, our own productivity.
Why become a Productivity Ninja?
- Think Productive goes beyond the pile-em-high, sell-em-cheap approach of generic training providers. We view our relationship as a long-term partnership, and in return we look for a commitment to quality, professionalism, and attention to detail that other providers may not.
- You become part of our expert community, contributing ideas and enthusiasm to our community of expert practice. You will be invited into our team channels and our virtual Global All Hands get-togethers, where Ninjas across the world come together for knowledge-sharing, professional and product development, and human support.
- The unorthodox TP brand, best-selling books, and global Productivity Ninja following are unique in the market. Our experience, client list, engaging workshops, and materials are second to none, and we are constantly investing to grow the business and improve the client and Ninja experience.
- We provide trainer notes for all of our workshops, recordings of sessions, lifetime access to the Productivity Ninja Academy, and the chance to observe experienced Ninjas deliver live sessions before you begin.
The ideal Productivity Ninja is or has:
- a passion for working smarter not harder
- understands the importance of wellbeing
- understands and respects the principles of Universal Learning
- an experienced trainer or presenter who is not prescriptive but listens
- tech savvy, familiar with different productivity apps and has strong Outlook and webinar delivery skills
- confident in delivering face to face soft skills training and facilitation, and ideally some coaching experience
- confident and comfortable communicating with senior level corporate executives
- experience in a (senior) management role
- an appetite for business development with a good network or the potential for one
- willing to continually learn and improve
- willing to travel, including overnight stays on occasion
- good at thinking on their feet and responding to cynics positively
- a strong LinkedIn profile, as this is where you will initially gain the trust of clients and other team members
- ideally active on social media
In general, people who qualify for this role know it themselves. If you are an accomplished facilitator who is passionate about productivity and wellbeing, and keen to spread the word about the brilliant work that we do, we would love to hear from you.
